This free online platform is dedicated to raising the visibility of the ocean and showcasing why the ocean matters in climate negotiations and to all life on our planet. It aims to democratize the ocean at UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conferences of the Parties (COPs) and promote unity and inclusivity while increasing knowledge, commitment, and action for the ocean-climate nexus at key events during the UN Climate Conference. This year’s UN Climate Conference (COP30) will be held in Belém, Brazil from 10 to 21 November 2025. The Virtual Ocean Pavilion is also a key tool in increasing transparency and equitable access to climate discussions and resources.

Key Messages
Key messages emanating from the COP30 Presidency, High-Level Climate Change Champions, Ocean Breakthroughs and other Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action (MPGCA) initiatives, the 2025 Ocean and Climate Change Dialogue, and the third UN Ocean Conference (UNOC) will be formulated and promoted through the Virtual Ocean Pavilion. Gateway to COP30 Ocean Events
We invite you to register your COP30 ocean-related events in the Ocean Events Tracker. Information gathered through the tracker will be incorporated into a calendar of ocean events accessible through the Virtual Ocean Pavilion.
The Virtual Ocean Pavilion would not be possible without the support of its many collaborating partners. Over the previous four iterations of the Virtual Ocean Pavilion, we have collaborated with over 50 organizations leading ocean and climate initiatives around the world. We look forward to welcoming old and new collaborating partners for the fifth iteration of the Virtual Ocean Pavilion at COP30 and are actively seeking collaborators. The COP30 Virtual Ocean Pavilion Co-organizers invite Expressions of Interest for the organization of live events, exhibits, roundtable discussions, and sponsorships. Expressions of Interest are due by 15 September 2025. Early submissions are encouraged.
